the storywhy now

This year, Rebel Recovery lost most of its funding. One center is still standing.

Cuts to public health funding and the loss of private support hit in the same year. Centers closed. The work didn't stop, because the people who depend on it can't wait.

Now Rebel Recovery is rebuilding from that one remaining center: forming longer-term partnerships, and keeping its services going while it gets back on its feet.

That's where we came in. We're the No One Walks Alone team from E360's Legacy program in Fort Lauderdale. Every one of us has someone in our family or our circle who has lived with addiction. We've seen that it is never only one person's journey. Families carry it. Communities carry it.

So we show up without judgment. People's paths can be hard and slow, and they don't all look alike. We want to meet people where they are and walk at their pace.

Our goal is $20,000 by October 8, to help Rebel Recovery rebuild in the one center it has left.

  • 01
Renovate the space. Paint, materials and furniture, so the center feels like the welcome it gives.
  • 02
Create dedicated areas. Rooms set up for the services people come for, so the work can continue under one roof.
  • 03
Keep supplies on the shelf. Room in the budget for the supplies their services run on, while they secure long-term funding.
